• Fort Collins is about an hour north of Denver, Colorado.
  • Nearest full-service airport: Denver International (DEN). Note that cues can not be taken on the plane as a carry-on bag. You will need to check it in as luggage (e.g., along the diagonal of a large of long bag, or in a protective box). You can also ship it to your hotel ahead of time. Alternatively, I am happy to provide a good cue you can use during the lesson.
  • Bus shuttle service to and from the airport and Fort Collins: Groome.
  • Good local accommodation option (close to historic downtown):

Best Western University Inn
914 S. College Ave.
(970) 484-1984, (800) 528-1234
driving directions (and map) from the airport

  • Local transportation: For getting to and from the hotel and Dr. Dave’s pool school, Uber is a good option. Although, they aren’t always as available as in a big city. Be prepared and plan to wait up to 20-30 minutes for a ride. If Uber availability is not good, or if the cost is high, zTrip taxi service is a good alternative.
  • If you want to make an extended vacation out of it, things to do in the Fort Collins area include: drive through and hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, visit beautiful Estes Park, go white water rafting on the Poudre River, go fly fishing, learn to kayak, drive and hike in the Poudre Canyon, go on a hot-air balloon ride, tour many of the local breweries (New Belgium, Odells, Budweiser, Coors, etc.), visit other great sites in the state of Colorado: Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado National Monument, Mesa Verde National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Crested Butte, Telluride, Ouray, Boulder, etc.!
